Operating out of Vista, California, Haro Bikes released a new 20″ wheeled cargo eBike. The new Skwad LT sports a hub-driven, 250-watt motor, a low center of gravity, and is said to deliver a fast and balanced ride even when loaded.
The small wheels will make this bike easier to get around tight spaces and easily tuck away when not in use. The minimalist aluminum frame and fork are both attractive and strong. The Skwad uses a slim 36v, 300w “in-tube battery” for its power source and hydraulic brakes with a motor cut off.
Handling the gear management is the trusty Shimano Altus shifter and rear derailleur. Paired with the Altus shifty bits, is a Shimano 8-speed cassette (12-28t). Pulling from Haro’s rich history in BMX the Skwad has a BMX-inspired two-piece handlebar and Haro Base Line BMX-styled stem.
Skwad LT uses built-in, compatible AtranVelo System mounts to mount their available assortment of baskets, crates, and bags, allowing you to take full advantage of Skwad’s cargo-carrying abilities.
Skwad LT Rider’s App
The Rider’s App is used, like many others, to link the user to the Skwad LT via your phone. The app is said to offer the ability to give the user weather notifications, battery capacity updates, Bike status, diagnostics, navigation, assistance mode, home page, and your personal profile.
The app will collect info about your total mileage, average speed, and riding history record. The navigation feature includes a map function, route suggestion, estimated time of arrival (ETA), and even calculate for battery capacity in regard to the selected route. This feature will ensure you have enough battery capacity for the selected ride.
