If your gym or party clothes are just crammed into your bike bags along with everything else you need for school or work, the new FOLD+RºLL will sort you out.
Designed to keep an entire outfit neatly rolled up and tucked away, it keeps your clothes clean and compact during transit. Simply lay out your outfit, fold along the lines, roll it up, and tuck it into its own pocket. Boom, your clothes are rolled up and ready to roll.
The FOLD+RºLL is the brainchild of longtime commuter and sustainable transport consultant Beate (pronounced bay-otta) Kubitz.
“When I used to cycle to work, I struggled with keeping tabs on my clothes,” Beate says. “There was more than one incident of reaching into my bag for my laptop and flinging my knickers across the office. That’s what prompted me to develop the Fold+Rºll.
“And, because I believe that the impact of any new thing should be thought through from cradle to grave, I spent a long time trying to create the simplest, most minimal design and sourcing low-impact materials to make it truly sustainable.”
It’s one piece and fully self-contained – no Velcro to snag your clothes, or straps to lose or come loose. There’s no plastic on it, it’s made from organic cotton, and made by a social enterprise in France.
The dog logo is her dog Jess, who likes to curl up in a roll, too. MSRP is £30, available for pre-order now.
