Whether your wet season is actually seasonal, or it’s just a year-round thing, Leatt’s new HydraDri mountain bike shoes aim to keep your feet dry through it all.
Offered in two clipless versions, a low-top and a boot, the latter also gets a flat-pedal model. The clipless shoes use a longer-than-normal cleat channel for maximum adjustment range, and they come with spacer shims to adapt to any pedal you’re running.

Leatt HydraDri 5.0 Clip
The 5.0 runs $179.99 and uses a single dial on top of a sliding section to smoothly pull cable across a big area to secure your foot without hotspots. The upper’s outer is a mix of Dyneema for tough abrasion resistance and a knit sock-like tongue and cuff for comfort. The toe bumper is a reinforced, semi-rigid TPU for more protection.
The outsole uses their RideGrip rubber compound with a concave waffle pattern to hold onto any pins your pedals may have…or at least keep it from slipping around while you find your footing. A semi-rigid shank in the sole provides support without limiting foot feel. Available in sizes 6-13US.
Leatt HydraDri 7.0
The 7.0 ($209.99) goes harder with an integrated gaiter and water-resistant zipper. They say it’s extremely tear, puncture, and abrasion resistant.
It’s topped off with a button-snap elastic cuff to prevent water from dripping in from the top. Underneath is a speed lace system for quick adjustments, even with winter gloves on.
These have a lugged outsole with TPU-reinforced toe, heel, and perimeter and the same shank inside for foot support. Both models have an anti-compression EVA foam midsole for cushioning, and an anti-bacterial/anti-odor lining. The non-clipless model gets a black outsole and runs $199.99.
