Ortlieb has always pushed a more sustainable approach to consumerism with made-in-Germany waterproof bags that are built to last, and come with a generous 5-year warranty. Have a failure with an Ortlieb backpack, touring bag, or bikepacking pack, and they’ll fix it for free.

Now to celebrate fight the wild over-consumerism influx of Black Friday Deals bombarding your inbox at the moment… Ortlieb is reminding you not to buy a new bag, when the old one just needs a little love. Maybe a bag needs a patch, maybe a piece of broken hardware replace?

In fact, Ortlieb has been greatly expanding their service network in the past year. In Germany, they have increased the number of service retailers from just under 15 in 2022, to now 53 in 2023.

In Europe, Ortlieb in Germany is taking bags in for repairs beyond the regular warranty, getting your bags bag to prime state for a 40% discount on repairs services this week. Reach out to one of those 53 authorized Ortlieb service partners in Germany. It’s not just their Heilsbronn HQ where the gear is made. But Ortlieb trained a lot of qualified retailers to make high-quality repairs, too.

In the US, Ortlieb Repair Week extends from now until December 3rd, as well. So get those bags in for the same 40%-off repair services. Reach out in the US for repairs by email here to get the ball rolling.

Throughout the rest of the world, you can still take your less than 5-year-old bag to any Ortlieb retailer trained as a service partner for free repairs. And you can always fix older bags too, for a reasonable fee. Most assuredly cheaper for your wallet and better for the environment than wastefully buying something brand new.

Great company. I’ve got a seat bag from them with 100,000 miles on it which is still good just eventually got a bit rattly in the mount over many years of riding in desert environment.

Here in the states REI carries Ortlieb. It would be nice if REI could help facilitate Ortlieb repairs.
